Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name and password. We use this information to create and secure your account, authenticate you, communicate with you and provide the application’s racing features. We do not store your plaintext password. We store only a one-way password hash.
Profile pictures
You may choose to upload an existing picture or take a new picture for your profile. Your profile picture is stored by us and may be displayed within the application and on facility scoreboards associated with your race activities. It may therefore be visible to applicable facility personnel and other race participants.
Race information
When you participate in a race, we collect information associated with your participation, which may include the facility, race session, kart number, lap times, finishing position and number of completed laps. We use this information to operate the race experience, display results and maintain your race history.
Device camera
The application may request camera access when you choose to scan a race QR code or capture a profile picture. For QR scanning, camera frames are processed for code recognition and are not stored or uploaded. Information decoded from the QR code is transmitted to our servers to identify the applicable facility or race. When you capture a profile picture, the selected image is uploaded and stored as described in the Profile Pictures section.
Location
The nearby-facilities feature may request access to your device’s location. Your location is processed locally on your device to calculate nearby facilities. We do not receive, store or share this location information.
Service providers
We use third-party service providers to operate portions of the application. Amazon Web Services processes email addresses and transactional email contents through Amazon Simple Email Service to deliver account-verification, password-reset, race-result and other service-related messages. We may also use hosting, database, notification, storage and backup providers as described in this policy.
